2001 blazer lift

I wanna lift my blazer, its a 2001, 2 door model, my dad wont let me cause he thinks it will flip over, what is the max i can lift both the body and the suspension before i run a high risk? thnx

one other thing

what is the rack and the lights that mount to the top of a car called? i havent been able to figure this out for a while now.

Need more details. S-10 right? 4.3 V6? ZR2 package? What is your factory tire size? 4X4? Need more info. Off the top of my head, I'd say put away you factory wheels and get some deep dish 15X10's with 33X15" tires. Crank up the torsion bars on the front (4X4 only), and put in a helper leaf on the rear. The cheap kind that bolt to the top of the leaf pack. If you tighten it down while the weight is lifted off the rear (jacked up by the frame), when you let it down it will set higher than stcok. Do you have those big wheel flares? Get some if you like your paint job!

howdy again, thanx for the lifting advice, hey, does anyone know how to take the shifter knob off of a standard 2001 blazer? it seems to be glued on or something
