GM 4th gen f-body suspension install ??s

Alright guys, been some time since i have done some work to my car. I have decided to make the care a corner carver before i go ahead and just dump money into straight line performance. Biggest reason for this, i don't take the car to the track, and i live in an area where the roads are very sharp, windy, curvy ect (hudson valley ny).

Anyways, i have a brand new wildwood 6 piston brake and rotor kit in my garage that just came in. I also ordered LG adjustable A-arms, and sway bar kit. I figured this was a good start to get the front of my car nice. Anyways, me and two of my buddies are gonna put all this crap on when it comes in. We will have access to a GM dealers garage and lifts/tools and one of my buddies is a GM tech.

So, before we go ahead mess up my car......Does anyone have any tips? Like are the springs under alot of tension when i take the A-arms off? Do i need to compress the springs? Special tools? Should i just replace the Springs and Shocks while im doing the A-arms? If so, what should i get? I can't lower the car too much due to the nature of the roads around here.

Any pointers would be great.

Car is a 94 trans am with only 50k on it, garage kept...so under the car is in great shape, minimal rust dirt ect.

Thanks

Good thought. I'm not a 4th gen expert by any means, but see if you can contact tuske427. He's not around much anymore, but he is pretty darn knowledgeable on the 3rd and 4th gens.

since camaros and firebirds are effectibely the same, go to the Camaro forum. there's plenty of traffic there, and plenty of knowledgable people there too.
