1/9 Protar Ducati

I had started this awhile back and then shelved it due to some roblems with the build. My friend got his 1/12 Tamiya Ducati completed and it inspired me to complete mine despite the problems. For a 1/9 scale kit I thought it would have the lines for the brakes cltch etc..boy was I wrong there! I carried on though. I added the lines from some left over material that Ihad on hand. The clutch line goes no place in particular, but in the direction of where the clutch would be on the 1:1 bike. Same for the throttle. So much of the engine is hidden once the cowling is attached I saw no reason to add the parts that would be hidded. That, and the cowling didn't want to fit with them installed either Decals were a mixed bag. Some didn't want to cornform to to the complex curves while others went down with no problem. The paint is good ol' Krylon rattle can left to de-gas for a good week and rubbed out ever so slightly with 1500-12000 grit cloths. Its no contest winner, but I'm happy I got it done. More pics to follow as soon as I get my regular camera back. Comments welcome, thanks for looking, Matt-
ps, I gotta go back in and add some washes to bring out the recessed detail, just noticed it in my pics!! DOH!

Re: 1/9 Protar Ducati

Joel, thanks for the kudos. The CF decals are one of the only decals that conformed to the curves.Well, that and the large #1 on the nose which can't be seen from the side. Hopefully I can get some better pics soon. Thanks again. Matt-

Looks good from what can be seen and yeah, that chain is crying out for a good wash. More pics please and thank you.
