91 std?????

Okay i went to look at a 91 hatch std 4speed w/150k on the engine.. the owner wasnt there so i didnt get to hear the engine ..but overall the exteriors condition is very nice..a few small dings that can easly be knocked out..good paint..no rust..i crawled under the car and looked all over..fenders ,quarter panels all good...got no power though but oh well not even a radio lol..but hell i wanna do it over anyways ..hes asking $1300.00 b/o ..i say $900.00 1k if the engine sounds good enough..its gonna need back tires too.....what are all your thoughts on this.. what should be known about the std model?..umm..i can change to a 5speed and put an "si" head on as with a dx right?..if not ill just save a shitload for a swap which might take awhile but oh well...anyways..concerns comments ..etc .. let me know so i know im not gettin screwed over.
thanks !!!

Yeah tranny swap would be easy, you might need Si or DX linkage though, not sure. As for the head it should fit also.

The Truth Is I Have A Std Hatchback Also, And I Have Pretty Much Turned The Interior Into An SI!! I Feel A little More Pride In All The Upgrading I Have Done, Then Originally Having An SI!! I Would Go For It But The Price Seems A Little High, But I Live In Iowa, So I Really Dont Know What The Going Price For A Car Like That Is In A Big City!!!

I Say Go For It!! You Wont Regret It!!

The STD interior isnt half bad, provided it isnt ripped to pieces (like many of the std's are) I like the vinyl.

First thing I would do to that car is get a tach.

I to have a std civic... although if you were to look at it now you would see a hybrid Si. I have the ZC engine and my interior is all Si parts. I got the Si rear seats, Si cargo cover, Si clock, Si glove box, Si sunvisors (yeah thats right) and i even got that Dome light that is in the hatch area. There are only a few little things left i need to get from an Si till im happy. and to think none of that stuff came stock on my car.

You gonna do a power window / door locks conversion? Cause that would be pretty cool.

Looking forward to seeing your car on the 14th!

STD rear seats are vinyl, and I think the Si rear seats have a center storage piece like the 94+ integra rear seats BUT I MAY BE WRONG!

We gotta come up with another abbriveation aside from 'STD' it sounds dirty

The std Seats, And The Si Seats Are Exactly The Same Except The Si Seats Are Cloth, And std Seats Are Vinyl! There Is No Center Storage Piece, That Would Be Awesome Though!
