i just bought a 96 civic and 2 days after i bought it i started hearing like a clicking noise everytime i accelerate from 0....any ideas on what to check? ...thanks

is it an automatic or manual? power steering? DOes it only happen from a dead start, does it click when you accelerate in general. It could be anywhere from a bad gear to power steering problems, maybe a caliper is hitting while the tire rotates, a bad hub or bearing. Or it could be as simple as you are dragging a peice of underbody plastic or just a dead body
It may be throttle body problems. Get a friend to look at it that knows about cars, then take it to a local place, then to the dealership. Take it to the dealership last unless you think the problem will be under warranty.Hope this helped Bryan |
