sticky throttle cable
I've had the exact same problem. Man on both of my civics. On my old one I tried using wd40 on the throttle body as well as carb cleaner. Neither really worked. I also got a cable from the wrecker, that was a bad idea. Just go to honda and get a new cable it fixed the problem on my new civic no problem, and its probably only about 20.00 to fix.

oh man you got me rolling....nothing from honda is less than $20. my ebrake cables were $75 each! luckily i got them from HAP (honda acura parts) recycling. look them up online, maybe you can get your cable from them cheep. also i just came back from honda and spent $20 getting 2 bolts from them for my suspension.
