Question Modifications

What needs to be done to a NIssan Skyline in order for it to meet the specifications given by the DOT of America? In other words, what can we do to our future R34s in order for our country to be happy and without going to those bastards at Motorex who are running a freakin'
monopoly?

Lightbulb Modifications required.

Look at this document NHTSA-99-5507 , This document has in detail the information that you need for modifing the car.

Unfortunally this has to be done by a Registered Imported due to the fact that most of this modifications do not affect in the least the EPA, this are done to meet US safety standarts.

What the Registered Imported does is modify the car and take a picture of every modification done to the car as proof (70+ pics). All of this information is put together and an application is filled.

What sucks is that even if the Registered Imported follows the instructions to the dot, this does not automatically mean that the car will be aproved by DOT.

And that sucks!!!!

If you look at the modifications that have to be done, my self and a lof of the people here can do it.

At the moment, I am cheching with the different Registered Importers to see if another one of them will do the modifications that Motorex is doing. I am hoping that perhaps another Registered Importer will charge less fees to get this cars here.

The more information I find, I will be posting it here. If you have any questions regarding any of the information I have found out (Wish I think its all posted) feel free to email me at [email protected]

"MOTOREX, its not that I have a problem with your business, but it is expensive to buy cars from you and not all of us can affort it at those prices, but we want that GTR so bad that we are looking for a cheaper way to do this, sorry motorex"
