Manual Shift Knob in an Auto?

Someone once told me that there was a way that you can put a manual shift knob in an automatic with a few modifications. Is this true? or do I have idiots for friends? If this can be done, does anyone know how?

It was $53. shipped from optionsauto.com
I love it. They have them in black, silver, black w/ CF, and silver w/ CF. The CF ones are more money obviously.... :alien:
Let me know if that helps.

most manual knobs are threaded on to the stick. While auto knobs are held in place by a set screw. I'm sure there are ways to convert it, but it depends on the car.
