Re: Chevy Impala ´59
Rickard,
Speaking for myself, I enjoy your enthusiasm for modelling and the fact that you post your work on the forum. I've seen and followed a couple of your builds IIRC. I was talking with a couple of AF memebers the other day about posting criticism vs posting just "awsome". Our conclusion was (I think) that part of the fun and benefit of a forum like this is to help each other with constructive feedback even if it's critical. So here's mine. I believe that you can do better than this. I'm not talking about airbrush painting vs paintbrush painting or spending zillions of dollars that you might or might not have on supplies. I think that it would be a good idea if you maybe slowed down a little, maybe tried not to pack so much into one build but focus on better execution of fewer details and maybe spent some more time in at least preparing the model before painting. Of course this is just my opinion and I hope you take it in the right way. As I said, I admire your enthusiasm but I think you could and should produce better work than I can (almost ![]() You are an active memeber here, you use English well and there is a ton of information of ryou to find in other threads - use it ![]() I hope others will also give you their feedback. Bestest regards!!

Re: Chevy Impala ´59
"Less is more" is a mies Van der Rohe phrase: one of the main innovator of the "modern" style, in architecture, design and at least, lifestyle. I'm still comparing everyday my professional done with this and I used to think at it to point in the right direction. Well I guess the only activity I can't follow it is in modelling life: is where we express ourself and our creativity: I search to give my models a part of myself, of my carachter: not easy to stop in the right balance, for that I love some great builder jobs here, like Prini or Phil and obviously Rob and Thesaint111 and others. Also isn't age-related, Alessandro is a bit older, rob have quetly my age, and Dennis is just 20 YO.
Well I'm listening some Talking heads song and they put me over the track: I haven't english as primary language (really i haven't any ![]() ![]() At least give a pencil, 4basic colors, a primer and a sandpaper to a great modeller like some we've here and you'll see a masterpiece too ![]() Also I guess Richard was tempted to try his new camera (Richard resize images please!! ![]()

Re: Chevy Impala ´59
nice read, both of you!
I have to agree what Professor Klutz said. Sometimes taking your time is put to a good use, a quickie once in a while has to be in place in order to keep the things exiting, IMO ![]() it's a nice subject, but the execution misses some finesse... Also, if I can give you a tip, taking pics with the digital camera from a bit further away can hide many flaws, i know this from experience ![]() It's like looking at Angelina jolie , compared like looking through a microscope to see all the little imperfections she might have, like small zits and hairs (not speaking from experience) just my two cents, but keep on going on, you seem to be on a roll, just take your time to ask for help and read the faq's, even I do sometimes, when I m drunk and forgot how to do a particular thingy.
