"chopped" hatch *crazy*

Hey, I've been away from the board for a while and I thought this would be a nice comeback

A guy send me this pic of his hatch for my site.
It's chopped 7"

pretty crazy eh! At first I (also) thought it was a photoshop but believe me it's real, here's the proof http://www.carpage.tmfweb.nl/images/civic/77002.jpg

It may not be your style but I give the guy mad probs for doing a "mod" like that, I mean, that's a one of a kind car :alien2:
Just thought you guys (and girl) would like to see this and maybe hear some opinions.

Ummm...ok. Is that the owner/driver?? He looks quite a bit taller than me (I'm 5' 6") & I don't have a whole lot of space over my head in the car. Maybe it's just cuz his roof is chopped. Definitely not my taste, but I'll give him props for being original...

On a 30s Hotrod chopping is cool. On a Honda Civic it looks ridiculous.

Like someone already said.... looks great on something like a 49 merc. I might like it better if it wasnt chopped so much. windows just look way too short.

If he still has his rooftop window he might drive with it open and his head sticks out

I've seen a chopped 4th gen before in a tuning magazine from Germany, but it wasn't chopped as low as this one

Jesus, Mary, Joseph and seven hens around a maypole!!!

That's a chop and a half! It looks weird, but I think it's cool. I'd drive it, and maybe that dude just leans the seat back hella far or something.

This guy and his wife came through Pensacola, FL (where I live) and heard of the Whitlee show that was going on and showed up. This was before I had my civic. I knew it was chopped (duh) but it looked like it was stretched too. He and his wife got out of the car and he was somewhere around 6'2" I believe, actually, I couldn't believe it. Not ordinary at all, pretty neat though. I didn't really care to talk to him much because I didn't have anything in common with him. I think it was red w/ yellow when he showed up though and I don't believe he had those wheels. Can't say I would drive it but I will give him props for being different.

Those are M3 mirrors, I have them to on my 4th gen Civic, I'll post some pics when I get them

Overhere in Europe you can get them for almost every car brand and make.
You order the mirrors seperatly and order a adapter kit with it so they fit the right make car.
