help with tach
do i really need to hook up the tach to the negative side of the igniton coil. is there any other way to hook it up like splicing into the wire thats already going to the stock tach. also where is the ignition coil located on a 5th gen civic ex

you referring to a monster tach.
www.jdmfan.com check there, they might have a how to on how to install a tach

Isn't the igntition coil located inside the distributor cap? Atleast it is in 6th gen. civics. I think you might be able to tap into the negative side of the coil by splicing into one of the wires in the harness that goes to the distributor if you have a wiring diagram and can find it.

the blue wire coming out of the dist. will do just fine, or the blue wire with just a plug on it by your drivers side strut tower.
