Completed: Dino 246GT (Fujimi)

It took closer to 36 days then the originally planned 36 hours but Ingrid is finished!

This is the Fujimi curbside kit. The kit is pretty well molded and fits together quite well (apart from a couple of notable exceptions). Biggest issues are the thickness of the glass, the chin spoiler which needs to be glued prior to painting and therefore makes the mating of body and chassis “interesting” to say the least.

Paint is Motip auto Gold over auto Silver – both metallic and cleared with TS-13.

Changes to basic kit include replacement of all clear parts, flocking, BMF, gear lever out of solder, hinge on bonnet, alu exhaust tips (which I glued on crooked ;( and need to fix). Full build story can be found here.

A big thank you for cheering me along during the build

Hey nice!

color choice is great.

I donīt mean to nitpick, but what happened to right exhaust tips. Itīs hanging a little...

That's not nit picking you are dead right!

LOL none of you noticed my mistake in the title. If a mod reads this, would they PLEASE change 365 to 246 . That was a Freudian mistake on my part

Re: Completed: Dino 365GT (Fujimi)

Looks terrific, Stevenski!

I would certainly count it a success- anything under 36 days is a speed build as far as I'm concerned. Further, with the attention and care you put into it, it's impossible to tell it was 'slammed' together- looks like it enjoyed the full six+ month treatment! Your skills are definately improving (as well as your photography skills!). An excellent addition to your display collection.

Is this your first Ferrari? Guess there will be a few more to follow this one.

Sigh. I really am going to have to find me a Fujimi Enthu Dino....

Freudian mistake, huh?

Really nice build there. When I first saw your original thread I thought 'Gold!.... What IS he thinking????' But it looks great, really suits the lines of the car. The end result is excellent .

36 hours or 36 days - who cares? I'll be lucky if I finish anything in 36 weeks!

Amazing, and great photo skills too. And as said fantastic and clean improovments. I'm able to think this girl only in yellow but I admit that color suit perfectly her beauty. Bravo Stevensky.
