Need advice! 96 Jimmy Fuel lines leaking
Hi:
I own a 96 Jimmy 4 door SLE. I noticed that it is leaking fuel and it appears to be coming from the fuel line(s) that are on top of the frame between the fuel filter and the tank. I don't think that it's the tank because I let the tank get real low and it only leaks when running and the fuel can be seen slowly dripping off the frame. Its real hard to see up in there so I'm trying to decide if I want to try this myself. I had the tank off about 6 months ago to replace a fuel pump so removing the tank is not an issue. What I'm concerned about are the fuel lines themselves. I understand that they have to be custom bent out of straight steel stock. I know that these fuel systems are very critical when it comes to fuel pressure so how can it still be running ok if the fuel line has a hole in it? Could it be a return line? Any help/comments on doing this job would be greatly appreciated. ![]() |

You already have one thread in the proper forum. Please don't clutter the forums with multiple threads for the same problem.
