Got to try one

Yup, my moms bf got a loaded 2001 Camaro SS convertible recently. Too bad it has an auto. Anyway, my mom let me drive it. Doing a brake stand, the rear wheels start to let go at 1500rpm. (traction control off, of course). Anyhoo, it hooks up pretty good. Car and Driver tells me it would have been a 6 second range run to 60 Fastest I've gone so far.

Anyway, I should be able to drive it myself in a month or so, so what is the best way to get maximum acceleration from it. Also, what kind or handling is it capable of, and how stable is it at high speed?
