Question Need a good reference site for VWs.

Hi,

It is been awhile since I have visted this site. Recently, I started a new project. It is a VW Golf. I hope I can finish this one.

Does anyone know great sites for VW pics? Please post them. I really need ideas for this project.

Cheers!

Re: Need a good reference site for VWs.

Which Golf are you going to do? I just bought myself a 2005 GL (US still has the Mk IV) and was lucky enough to find the Tamiya version on Ebay for cheap. The kit is a 4-door VR6, so I have a few mods, but not many: The steering wheel has 3 spokes (There is an accurate 4-spoke wheel in the Revell GTi tuner kit), the front and rear license plates have to be narrowed for US plates, the VR6 badge has to be removed from the grille, and of course I have to make it into a 3 door. The biggest problem (Besides new door handle recesses) is the wheels, as I have the steelies with hubcaps. I think it frankly will be easier to just buy new wheels for the 1:1 car LOL

I notice several posts were deleted in this thread due to them containing links to another forum site.
Please note guys, linking to other forums is not permitted on AF.

I know you were all trying to help, but the mods are asked to enforce rules, which we do to the best of our ability.

There are other modeling forums I thought this was the only one.
