Wink question about horsepower

I got a '96 DX and wanted to get more horsepower and was wondering what you all suggest..air intake, exhaust...what will just air intake give me and what would exhaust give me, Im new and would like some input. whats the cheapest for the most horsepower, Im not looking on spending a few thousand but I could cough up about a G...Thanks in advance!!

sorry.. u gonna hafta spend thousands to get more HP... the intake/headers/exhaust combo will prally come out to $1000 already... that I/H/E will get u sumwhere between 15-25 added ponies (i think... correct me if im wrong)... if u spend right... u should be able to get the i/h/e for about $600-750 total... try lookin in GroupBuyCenter i got my intake there for a decent price... but most people here will tell u that the cheapest way to get the most HP for the buck is turbo... or a new engine where u can build on it... good luck

the cheapest hp is a bottle of N20.
cost bout 500 bucks. then u still have money for intake. exhaust.

thats 75 more horsies if u run a 50 shot of nos for bout 1 g.

if you get 25 hp from i/h/e your doing dang good. id say youd prob be more in the 10-15hp area on that motor. but who knows im talking out of my butt. ive never done anything to that car.

I'd say save up for a B16 or use the money on handling upgrades until you can get your hands on some serious cash
I wasted all my money on rims and tires cuz I figured my car lacked steering response/traction, and the hubcaps and skinny 14"s made it look terrible
