im planning to get a tacoma next year...and im debating which route to go....turbo (unlimited boost with good fuel management of course) or supercharger (limited boost but 50 state legal.) both are really giving me hard decisions. if you guys can give out some input ill really appreciate it and gladly thank you.

TRD makes a superchager for both 4 cyl. motors. I think they are model year specific though. (2.4 and 2.7)

Re: 4 cyl supercharger

They do make a supercharger for a 2.4 and they are still available.. I just bought one for my 95.5 2.7. haven't had time to intall. My understanding is that TRD no longer sells the 2.4/2.7 s/c any more. All units have been sent back Alpine developments in garden grove, ca. The only way you going to get one is find one on ebay, contact your local toyota dealer and have the parts dept do a search( they might be some still left on there shelves somewhere), or contact the manufacture of the s/c directly(alpline-development.us ) Maybe contact Chris at trdparts4u.com. He might be able to help you. If you can pick one for 2400-2600 that's the going price of people I've talked too. If you want some more info, let me know and I'll send you links and info. If I post it here, it would be a very long thread.
Jeff

Re: 4 cyl supercharger

if your interested in s s/c on the net look at www.perfomanceproducts.com they have them for almost all the toyotas any where from 2-4,000 but the turbo will give you more top end power because it has to wind when the s/c will give you alot more low end power because it is working off of the running motor
