sounds like your ASD (automatic shutdown) relay is tripping, either due to the fact that the relay is bad or there's something tripping it. With Chryslers, the ASD relay control fuel pump and ignition coil output, thus you have the intermittent no-start.

I have a similar problem with our 95 Eagle vision 3.3. When it won't start, it can take anywhere from a minute to several hours before it will finally start, then it runs fine, sometimes for days. The ASD is definitely not allowing the coil or fuel pump to operate. Signal from the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) pin 51 is supposed to pull the relay coil to ground, thus closing the contacts. My relay is fine. When it's acting up, you can feel the relay clicking on and off like it's trying to close, but the PCM is not receiving a valid crank or cam position signal. I have yet to replace either because I can't believe that a sensor is at fault when it can run perfectly fine for days and suddenly not at all. I've been looking for an intermittent connection, such as bad ground, but have had no luck so far. Have you checked your fault codes? Mine has been setting 12 and 11 pretty consistently. I've even thought the PCM itself might be at fault. Since I'm running out of options, I may try replacing the CPS (Crank Position Sensor) and see if it works, although it doesn't really make sense to me. If you've had any luck getting your problem resolved, I would appreciate any hints you could share. By the way, as I've researched this over the past few months, I have found many examples of other folks who appear to have the same problem. I've yet to see a case where someone actually solved theirs. Are they all caused by the same thing? Who can say.

Sometimes a module or sensor gets to the point where it is just on the edge of the required spec. I had an ignition module go bad intermittantly like that, also indicated by the trouble codes. The repair manual I had said the circuit should measure under 1000 ohms. I measured mine to be exactly 1000 ohms. I guess when it was in good graces it was probably 990 ohms but if I farted the wrong way it would go to 1010 ohms and act up!

Update: Replaced the Crank Position Sensor (against my better judgement) and now, ,almost two weeks later, have yet to have a hiccup. I can't say that it's fixed, but my confidence level is pretty high. Keeping my fingers crossed.

well I just had the same problem and with my 95 Eagle vision 3.3 the car would shut down but the fuel pump would still pressure up and well for codes I get number 11. states that there is no input from the magnetic pickup on the crankshaft. So I picked up a new one and no change, car will not fire. so I changed the cam mag pickup and all is fine now
