Forza Corvette Races and Drivatar?

I got Forza last week and all this week I've been doing pretty well but I get to the Corvette races and it's my first real challenge. The first time around I figured I'd do the races in order. I did Leguna Seca and got 2nd and got 1st in all the others. I didn't get the Lingenfelter so I figured you have to get 1st in all the races. I went back and I just can't get 1st. I don't know why either. I race an almost perfect race (as in I don't go off the track and I don't get bumped and spun around). I've done this probably close to 20 times today and it seems the Lingenfelter never makes a single mistake...not even one. So I can't beat it no big deal I'll use the drivatar which should do it since it normally dominates anyother races. I load the drivatar to do some racing for me and I leave the room and come back to my drivatar in 8th place...WTF? It's a 70% in everything which I know isn't even close to what everyone here probably has but it's not that bad and I just can't do any better. So does anyone have any tips for beating Leguna Seca in the Corvette Races? Also does anyone have any tips for improving my drivatar...I tried just following the lines but when I do that my ratings go down, so I guess I just don't know how to improve it? Any help would be very appreciated. TIA.

ya i had to put on some of the helpers (with an 800 hp turbo vette you kinda need traction control) and I turned the opponent down to easy, also ramming on the corkscrew always helps, especally if you can do it on the last lap, a note on the drivatar is that you not only need perfect line, but perfect speed (lots)

Re: Forza Corvette Races and Drivatar?

I ran this with the Goldenblahblahblah on normal and won, just flew through (over the dirt) on the corkscrew on one of the laps, once I got ahead, I stayed ahead. All the others except for the first I used my drivatar which is only 74% and won 1st by atleast 5 seconds.

Re: Forza Corvette Races and Drivatar?

Yeah I ended up beating it a couple days after I posted that but I just decided that I would stay in 2nd the whole race and on the last lap I would fuck up that dammed Lingenfelter right proper and it worked. That was probably the most frustrating thing I've ever delt with in a video game...usually I know I can't do something so I just quit but I knew I could do it I just couldn't.
