Stereo Imaging

Stereo imaging...question: I have rockford fosgates all around and a pioneer 10' sub in the trunk. I like the sound I am getting, but it seems like it's missing something. The highs are there the mids are ok and the lows are find, but that middle stereo effect is missing.. I suppose I like the theater sound. I thought about adding kick panels to get that middle sound... any ideas? i have a JVC SH99 deck... fosgate amp.

Kick panels may solve your mid-bass issue. For my car I have my tweeters in the dash (stock location) and the mid range speakers (6.5") are in kick panels. My fiance has been into car stereo as a hobby for about 8 years or so and he built my kick panels. Much greater improvement over having the speakers in the doors. The tweeters are going to be relocated into buildouts either in the A pillars or buildouts integrated onto the plastic piece by the mirrors (black triangle shape). We have yet to play around with them and see where they work best though.

Whoa.. sounds like your baby's under major sound re-construction. I took a trip down to the local audio store today. I think your right about the kick panels. I'm going to do them and oh boy the prices of auto video stuff is coming down. I'm going to add a 5" panel to my passenger side visor and a DVD/TV tuner under the dash... is going to cost me right at 300 bucks.. i was really shocked.. I'm having my interior re-done in 2 weeks. I can't wait...
