MP3 player skipping?

I just installed my new MP3 head unit and finally got to put in my burned CD-R with about 20 .mp3 files on it. A test CD if you will. I put it in and guess what? It skips. It plays a few seconds, then stops for a few seconds. Then plays for second and stops a bit. over and over, every song, every CD-R I try. What's up with this? The HU plays regular CDs just fine, great infact, and the .mp3 files play just fine on my Computer! Please, help!!

sounds like the deck is having trouble processing the mp3 format since it plays the cd music fine... you should have listened to me...

save up and always buy the best there is ... or buy the cheapest over and over again until you spend the same amount of money...
by the way did you get the component set like i said?

I just erased a very nasty post. I am just so freking mad. I don't have no gall-derned $400 to spend on a fugging head unit!! And @$%^$ no I didn't get a component set. This time I'm glad I didn't, because turns out my tweeters I had aren't connected anyways. And the Sony ones I got are better anyways. I just want the crap I bought to work the way its supposed to y'know? I get so tired of watching my bank account spiral down to the pathetic level its at right now. I want, but can't afford. It sucks donky ass but its where I'm at. And to heck with getting a new fugging head unit. If I can't fix this one then I'll just listen to plain 'ol stupidazz Cd's. It does pretty dam good with those. Quality isn't the problem you see? its just that its NOT WORKING RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Headunit was a bitch to install? Holy mother... its like cake walk to me -- bro you should have asked I could have given you instructions to have your deck out in like 5 minutes !!! But, does the headunit have a manual reset on it? Its usually like a button on the top or bottom or back of the deck that has to be pushed in for a few seconds and it cuts the power out and clears the memory -- maybe its just beign retarded :finger:

fixing to try it on the road today. If you are right, it will be the last straw, and it WILL be going back.

And the Sony one is good? Then that's the one I'll get.
