Unhappy Magellan Map 330

Magellan Map 330

Last weekend I uploaded some maps to my magellan map 330, jumped in the X and headed out of town. When I turn the gps on it acts normal then restarts. It continued to do this until I finally turned it off. I tryed leaving the batteries out, still did it. I called Magellan and they said I would have to send it in, they give me a "RA" number. As I was boxing it up I realized it started happening when I uploaded a map. I cleared the memory and uploaded a new map and now it works fine. Must have been something that got screwed up when uploading a map.

Moral to the story, if you have a magellan and you upload maps, check the gps before you leave home.

Cool, Thanks!

Good information. I've uploaded many maps to my 330X without problems so far. But I'll definitely keep that in mind if it starts acting up. I did have the GPS lock up completely (couldn't even turn it off) when I first got it -- I was trying to do too many things at once, I guess. This happened before I uploaded anything so I don't think they're related.
