Re: First mods

if you have 1200 dollars to spend i would take you car to get the heads ported and polished, in a car like that youll see a huge gain. and go with a exuast as well.

Re: First mods

how much of a gain will i recieve from getting them ported and polished ...5-10HP???..ive been looking at a Borla exhaust system for 1100 which would leave me 100 dollars for an intake plus i can always throw in 50 more bucks and get a BBK unit which will suit me well

Re: First mods

Gears. 3.73s would probably suit you best. I prefer/suggest 4.10s for naturally aspirated 99+s. But, I find that 3.73s are better for the SN95s. If an SN95 guy knows otherwise..feel free to interject. I personally wouldn't waste my money on just a fancy exhaust system..you'll probably gain 5-10hp with that exhaust..and you probably won't even notice it.

If you can, find someone with 99+ heads and do a head swaps. that will net you alot of power, and while your at it, swap the cams with something aftermarket.

Gears and PI heads would be what I'd do.

Re: First mods

my friend put in a cam, rockers, valve springs and had his stalk heads port/polished and got about 50hp for around $1500. im sure that you could do the same for cheaper.
