Re: car accident

Damn, dude that sucks. I had some guy rear end me about 2 months ago, but he didn't hit me hard. The only damage to my car was the paint on the bumper scratched off, and now I have to get it repainted.

3 suggestions:
1)if your as mad as we'd be, the stake out her house till she comes home..maby shes just not answering the door and hiding her ride in the garage when she comes home. it would make your feel a little less helpless.
2) no need to contact her any ways though.. find out who her insurance co is through the po po's and report it to your insurance co. thell take it from there...
3) last but not least, call your local auto reck lawer (every town has one) i live in alaska, and his name is bill azar "one call, thats all"

Re: car accident

Sorry to hear about that pisser of an accident. Like Mike Mustang said, get the insurance info from the cops and report it to your insurance, as long as you have a police report with a hit and run, a witness and her info you should be more the 100% all set. it's just the hassel of having to go through all that though. Good luck, keep us updated.

It really shouldn't matter I mean if the cops should find or will find the car and see the front-end damage they'll know who did it. Combine that with the fact that pretty much 98% of the time if you get rear-ended it is always 100% the fault of the person who rear-ended you by law.

Ex.If someone is behind me and I jack on the brakes for no reason or let's say a deer ran infront of me. Then the person behind me rear-ends me it is 100% there fault by law. Reason is they need to leave themselves ample space based on the speed traveling to allow them to be able to stop.

The 50% fault thing your talking about is called no fault. Many states have allowed insurance companies to use this to speed up claims processing by each person's insurance company handling each customers claim and no cross business. A.K.A. If your report it to your insurance company they will not go after the person who hits you insurance company wther it was your fault or not, and you will get the standard deductible and the surcharges added to your insurance under no fault.

If dampachi however once finding out who hit him calls their insurance company and has the police report(showing it was the other driver's fault) he will get the money from that person's insurance company, everything is handled through them and no decutible or surcharges will he have to pay.

Re: car accident

well, she's going to get away with it. she went into the police barracks yesterday and the police said they saw no consistent damage on the front of her vehicle. but, she had plenty time to go doctor it up. oh yeah..and the officer told me that she told them about an incident were someone in a mustang was trying to race her..which is of course bullshit. but whatever. I got fucked over.
