More Tranny Questions

Just trying to see if this tranny is acting normal or not. '01 GP SE 3.1. At 65 mph in overdrive the RPM's are around 28k-29k. Just wondering if anyone knows if that's where the RPM's are supposed to be at that speed. Thanx.

Re: More Tranny Questions

no, thats not normal, sounds like your not shifting up into overdrive. I have a grand am with the 3.1 and at 65 it cruises about 2200 rpms or so. at 28-29 im usually doing 85-90mph. It could be one of the sensors gone bad that engage the overdrive. Ive heard the name but cant think of it right now, im sure somebody else here knows it. I think its the TCC sensor?
