There isn't one now but I think Andy Matthews or someone is working on a full detail set.

Probably won't be ready til '05.

Re: Photo Etch for Williams F14B 1/12 scale

Have you tried www.racingminiatures.com? They carry lots of detail parts for 1/12 F1 cars (and others). One of the brands they carry is Perfect Parts, maker of PE super detail kits for the Ferrari 641/2 and McLaren MP4/5 (?). Give them a call, I'm sure they will be able to help you out.

Regards,
Pedro.

Re: Photo Etch for Williams F14B 1/12 scale

Cody Grayland made a set of PE and turned parts many years ago. It is as rare as the proverbial hen's teeth, never seen it so don't know if it was any good. Perfect Parts have made sets for the MP4/6 and 641/2, including incredible brake disc and hub sets. Now they seem to be back in production, hopefully they will do a FW14B some time.

Awesome if Andy Mathews is making a set, I'm still waiting for his book. If he does do one it will be the ultimate, and I'm sure very, very expensive!

I have the Cody Grayland set, it doesn't involve etch parts, just machined.

10 velocity stacks
4 valve stems
4 active suspension dampers
4 tyre labels(decals)
1 side pod fitting
1 monocoque fitting
4 nuts for suspension

All parts are machined alum. but overall not a very extensive set.

Some of the plastic suspension has to be cut apart and replaced with the alum parts.

Re: Photo Etch for Williams F14B 1/12 scale

Phil, Andy Matthews will be releasing his book very soon. You can check this thread on www.f1m.com
http://www.ead.eee.ufmg.br/~renato/g...launay/92.html

Veyron, could you please post pics of that set? I'm so curious...I have only one 1/12 F1 (the Ferrari 641/2), but I found the FW14B pretty cheap (in Portugal, that is...) and I think I will buy it very, very soon. I want to make those models as acurate as possible, so I'm looking for every detail kit available

*Edit - I was replying at the same time you answered....thanks!

Re: Photo Etch for Williams F14B 1/12 scale

F1 Modeling magazine volume 15 has some nice detail pics of the FW14B but I expect Andy's book to be much more in depth.

That Cody Grayland detail set was a very short run set and it was made back in 1994 I think.

In that case start building the Mac and Ferrari. They should keep you busy for a while, especially with the Perfect Parts sets. Then, when you are finished those two there might be something available for the Williams.

Now, THAT'S what I call a great deal! The clear view of the Ferrari is very rare, and very expensive....Nice catch!!

Here they are, the williams is brand spanking new, but the ferrari and mclaren the box is aged but kit is new, and the guy threw in fill in decal for the mclaren and ferrari, and I bought myself fill in decal for the william.

Man I am going to need more carbon 1/12 decals
