1973 wagon, 454... A/C with tall valve covers?
I know its pretty specific, but if anyone has had a 454 with the driver's side mounted compressor, you may have encountered this and I need your experience.
I have a new (reman) A6 compressor so I'd like to keep it, as well as the $200 worth of R12 in it. The problem is that I have some roller rockers waiting to go in it, but they require taller valve covers. The blanket answer is "no AC with tall valve covers." Is that because of the upper bracket or because the valve covers physically hit the compressor? If its just the bracket, I'll modify the bracket, but if the covers physically hit the compressor, I'll have to rethink this.
