I've been on this forum for a few months now. I realize that i am at least twice the age of the average person on here, but I have to give my 2 cents if its ok.
I know I'm gonna offend alot, but most of you are idiots. There a select few that are smart and do know what they are talking about,very knowledgable, but most talk out their ass.
I have been a mechanic for 24 yrs. I do have an understanding of how a car works, front to back and in between.
I sit back and laugh at some of the "knowledge" that is thrown about on this forum
And just for the record, I have a 93 DX coupe,d15b7
auto trans, turboed, lsd, all the normal suspension goodies.
bare bones interior, no need for subs, I don't listen to that music anyway.
no body kit but I do have 15s with dunlop qualifiers.
for all you NEWBIES to the go fast game, it's called
"power to weight ratio"
Go ahead and call each other names cause the other doesn't have the same exhaust as you, or the wrong side skirts.
we all have a common like and we all should get along and help the other, but I know thats not possible, at least not on this forum

Come on man, you call yourself an old-time car guy, but you think that car people of different mindsets get along ANYWHERE? try getting your avarage classic car nut to admit that anything "import" might actually be fast, or look good... and try getting an import fanatic to compliment someone with a just-rebuilt 440 v8 with a roots-type supercharger in their cherry Nova...

Of course, there are people like me (and presumably you) who enjoy cars, everywhere, for the sake of being cars. There are people here, and on every other forum, who know jack shit, and make stuff up to sound good... welcome to the internet. There are people who know a LOT about some things, and BS about the rest, and people who know nothing, but are at least willing to listen and learn... those are the good newbies

Hey, If i can get along with the guys here, and on the Dodge forums, and on the general car forums... must be doing something right, eh? Maybe because two of the cars I want are (in order of when I found that I desired them) a 1969 Chevy Camero SS, cherry red, black ragtop, and a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII, '96 honda civic silver, with the trim reduced the the base Lancer trim...

We, the regulars, the guys who Love Cars, are here to hang with other people who Love Cars... so, let's hang. You can't flame me... my car isn't the fastest or the slowest, I've owned basically every car type imaginable, and can and have driven basically everything with wheels (And a few things without). If you're here to contribute to discussions, post questions or ideas, or just post pics of your brand new paint job, go ahead! If you want a fight, go over to the Ford forums and try something immature like posting "fordssuck, liek honduh 4-ever!!!1!!11oneoneone"... i'm sure that'll piss SOMEONE off...

hey, I know the true car guys on here can and will identify with what I said. Ihave had my share of mustangs and camaros over the years. and I will admit, I did intend to piss of the "supposed informed". shit, i have a big block 74 jeep pickup that is an asskicker to drive, gets 10 mpg and is uglier than hell, but its mine. I also lpve my civic, but in and in a different way, cause its a different car, intended for a different purpose.
Yes ,I'm a car guy, and I do like all cars, I just wanted to show how some people are narrow minded. sorry if I offended the real car guys

heard that, my civic is gettin 34 mpg, its my daily driver, I commute 65 miles every day, but I have fun doin it, on-ramps, corners, wherever I can get the thrill......

you can buy an efficint car w/ low maintanins and have a little spunk

or

you can buy an efficiant, low maitanince car /w a hell of a lot of spunk

and with a few G's you can make either car increadible.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but if you guys have a problem with the forum you might as well just leave. We get and have all sorts of members, whether they are assholes or dumbshits, that's in the eye of the beholder. I've more or less gotten used to it. So either step up and take the lows with the highs or just get the fuck out.
