Question Special Mitsubishi Coolant

I took my `03 OZ Rally in for her first oil change today (Id do it myself but while I'm away at college, I don't have the tools or space). Everything checked out fine except for the coolant. They wanted to top it off for me but said they couldn't because it ..and I quote.. "is special coolant used by foreign cars like Mitsubishi and Honda and we don't carry it." ... is that true (well..the part about it being special)? Or can I just go buy a jug of coolant like I used to use on my `78 Pontiac Catalina (may she rest in peace) and top her off?

there are only two different kinsd of coolant in the world that you need to know about! one color is orange, and the other is blue. the blue's name id dex-a-cool i believe. just go to napa or somewhere, tell them your color off coolant, mix it accordingly and drive on. the oil place is just trying to give it to you in the ass with out the courtsey wrap around. PS if you mix the two coolants, it will sludge up then you will need to get your whole sstem flushed.

Sorry CRAZY, but your WRONG by a mile.. there are 2 BASE types..
Glycol and Extended life GLYCOL, DEX-COOL is ORANGE and used on all gm,pontiac, chev's due to the alloy block! its rated 5 yrs or 150,000 miles, ALSO toyota has a PINK coolant. VW has a blue (ENVIORNTMENTLLY Safe) WHich can be switched over to green, BUT DO NOT MIX.. and now they make a GOLD color coolant which is UNIVERSAL EXTENDED LIFE that will work for all colors!!! Just to let you know I work in a shop and have for that last 5 yrs

DO NOT MIX COLORED ANTI-FREEZES
