New Tranny for SR20DE+T?

Just some thoughts came to my mind after being shot from the Supercharger versus Turbocharger idea, so much of that...anyway, my question is do you need new tranny if you suite up a turbo in your SR20DE?? The horsepower I am looking at is 300-340 whp. Will the stock tranny stand up to this kind of horsepower? Do you need a new brake rotor as well? Can someone please advice me on this one?

The answer to your question is yes!

Yes, IMO you can use your stock tranny. If this route is taken, you must baby your tranny(no slamming into 2nd)
Yes, you will need a new tranny after you break the first one.
(Chris's black 500WHP 200SX is on its 12th)
Yes, a 300HP car should have an upgraded suspension if it wants to stop.

Is it auto or manual? If auto, http://www.levelten.com may be able to help you.

No, not an AT. It's a MT.

You will want to have your input shaft and some of the gears (3rd for sure) shot peened and cyro treated.

Suspension and brake upgrades are certainly advisable.

Actually, 3rd is the one you have to be worried about.

Heh. Chris is horribly hard on his drivetrain.

Any type of suspension and brake upgrades you recommend?

What is a typical increase in torque, if there is any, when adding a turbo for about 300+whp output? Any one have a clue?
