Revell Enzo VS Tamiya Enzo

the revell enzo on Ehobbies is $13 and the Tamiya one is $33. i know the quality is much better but is it really that much of a difference?

yes !!, but you will have to see for yourself. Do a search on revelle enzo and one of the Tamiya enzo in the completed area. Look at the progress threads and see how each is built. If you like lots of parts go with the Tamiya for detail of opening doors and such. Otherwise pay the less money and get the revelle only to wish you had gotten the tamiya.

The tamiya enzo is worth every penny. It has an astonishing amount of detail.

If you're worried about the Enzo's price, I just put mine on Ebay today....

Humm-dee-dum... not shamelessly self promoting....

The Revell Enzo is a great kit, especially when you can find it for 1/2 price at Hobby Lobby (that would be about $6.50, where I've bought two just for parts).

If the Tamiya kit weren't around, we'd be never the wiser.

The Tamiya kit is a masterpiece. It's like a plastic gift of the highest quality. Tons of details, lots of interesting ways to mold/detail/build the model like a prototype of the real car. It's more like a miniature Enzo, while the Revell kit is more like a model car.

While I paid $26 (wholesale) for the original red Tamiya Enzo, I later found the new and improved yellow Tamiya Enzo for 1/2 price at Hobby Lobby...for about $25.50 Some here even snagged 'em for less because they weren't priced properly.

Both kits are worth every penny. If you have the $$ and the time, the Tamiya is the way to go, especially if you want to super-detail it w/aftermarket parts. If you need to conserve cash but still want a really nice Enzo, go for the Revell.

I would have to say that the Tamiya Enzo might be on the more challenging side, but it is probobly one of the most detailed out of the box plastic kit. The revell enzo is not bad but it lacks some detail. Do a search for both brands and you will see the difference in detail.

How dare you compare them ?? Revell won't stand a chance facing the Tamiya Enzo. Revell is a toy while Tamiya is a masterpiece especialy in the last version .

Re: Revell Enzo VS Tamiya Enzo

Get em both!!

That's what I did with the 360 Spider. I sure know what that extra money gets you. Having said that, though, the Revell Enzo is said to be FAR better than the Revell Spider, which has quite a few fitment problems, especially with the engine.

In my local model suppliers they are both the same price. Also what is the diference between the red and the yellow Tamiya Enzo's (apartr from the colour of course)?
