straight metric baby

i just got a set of stock metric 220/55/390 wheels from my buddy to put on my 82. he has an 83 mustang. but for the life of me i cant find any tires to fit the wheels. i needed a set of extra wheels to put my snow tires on but when i saw these i couldnt pass em up. so now i just need the summer tires. and id prefer not spending hundreds of dollars as im still in college. the tires currently mounted on the rims are michelin trx's but theyre burnt out completely. ANY info for me at all will be much appreciated! thanks yall.

thats the problem.. ive checked everywhere online. ive searched every single word having to do with metric wheels. i dont even know what size rims they are. i know the stock wheels for the 82 are 14" and these metrics fit the mounts, and theyre clear of all rubbing in the wheel well. but ima stop by a few local shops tomorrow and post the results. my dad said i shouldnt have to use that exact same 220/55/390 size. i should be able to work something out for sure. i just didnt know what options i had. ya know?

Basically the only people who still make the TRX style tire are the same people who first came up with the idea, Michelin. I think you can get them for like $200 a tire on tirerack but still way too expensive. Every one thank Michelin for making the "Betamax" of tires!!!!!
