Newbie airbrush Q

I just started using airbrush, and now it doesn't spray color anymore I thought it's clogged (I only used water to clean after using tamiya acrylics) so I soaked the parts in thinner... then it sparyed a little while, but now its not working again. I'm using propellant, after a while it gets really weak... So what is the problem? Spray with thinner after painting and soak the parts in thinner?

Are you;
1) Thinning your paints properly?
2) Using a propellant can (they freeze up regularly), or..
3) Have you tried adjusting your pressure??

Is it an internal mix airbrush? If so, do you have the little "pipe cleaner" wire they give to jam down the holes to clear clogs?

I need to find some of that crap! Jenny, I clean my air brush every time I used it. If it's going to be sitting more than an hour or so I'll take it apart and clean it. Also like Murco said thinning is important it is too thick you might not be able to suck it up if it's a suction feed airbrush.

I used that pipe cleaner thingy and soak them in thinner some more... and yeh I guess the paint was too thick :o It's spraying colors again now thanks for the pointers, I'll try to do a better job of cleaning up from now.. hehe

I'm using propellant can.. is it a lot better to get a compressor??

I use propellant cans with no problems.

ive bought so many propellant cans i could have used all that money to buy a compressor by now . stupid me

Actually, CO2 bottles are the best! They can be regulated and are silent!!

I use 2 car tyres to run my airbrush and it works fine is cheap,quiet and 15 minutes out of each tyre easy

How about NOS? Can I use NOS? I should be able to paint faster with it right?
