New Car!

Well, I had an 02 Accord and thought it was kind of boring so i traded it in and got a great deal on an 04 Mustang GT and I love it! (Especially the way it sounds, damn i love the way a mustang V8 sounds...) The car is so much fun to drive. Of course now, the question is what kinds of performance upgrades are actually worth the money, or what will get me the most bang for the buck? I am totally new to American cars, I've only ever owned Japanese imports and thats pretty much all I know about so any manufacturers suggestions would be great! also, is there a general order in which things are done, like exhaust and headers first or what? thanks

Manual...even with a half decent driver. Also you said you like the sound of it. Try aftermarket 2 chamber mufflers. A Bassani cat-back with a x-pipe would sound damn good. Then get gears. Try 4.10's for your car. You can find all this in a Mustang performance magazine or on the internet. Then, you'd be skraight.

Re: New Car!

Stock for stock, a manual tranny will be faster.

mustangs biggest downfalls are thier stock intacks, replacing the intake, and getting a sport chip will ad about 50 horse. bad thing about mustangs.... parts cost more than normal. if you've got the cash, get a forced induction intake, and a 3 angle valve job and get you heads resurfaced .010 or .020,exaust,cam, and you'll get a few hundread horse power extra!!! looking around 1,200~2000 dollars thier though.

Sport chips adds 50hp?

Mustang parts cost more than normal?

Resurface heads on an 04?

Forced induction intake?

Few hundred extra hp?
