cant park straight?!?

anyone else have problems parking straight?... ive been driving this car for about a year now and im always parked crooked. every now and then when i have space to turn i can make it straight. but mostly im crooked. i think its cause of the turning radius.. it just sucks... or maybe its just me.

Actually, Primeras have fairly compact turning radii. I think its just you man.

I think the turning radius is pretty big for this car here...i think it was a bit over 37 feet(from memory) and i remember i compared to an A4 and the G took about 2 feet more...but after driving for one year, i have no problem...pratice more man

yah, turn radius is very big for its size. i cant even make a u-turn at a relatively large 4 lane intersection.

parking crooked... the problem with the p11 is that the console, side window, etc everything is too high. i use to feel really uneasy driving this car because of that. my other cars have much better view of the road. after i got use to it, no prob, but backing up is a still a challenge on the p11 especially into a tight parking spot. but i never park in tight parking spots, so doesnt bother me.

Maybe it is you! Do me a favor...Don't park near me!

I always try to park away from others or at the ends where I can sort of double park.

If you can't park between cars str8 then don't park there b/c you or the A-hole next to will give ya a nice bumper scrape.

Hey and if you can't park st8, it's fashionable to park crooked

Peace!

making note to myself never to park by Viet-G20

I think the Primera's are a very easy car to steer and move around in tight places and for parking.

Turning radius sucks major ass. That's my biggest problem with this car. Doing a u-turn on a 4 lane road is almost impossible and turns into a small 3 point turn.

Anyway I have no other problems manuvering the G20. It just takes practice. I once had to back through 2 cars in a driveway with about 5 inches on each side. The side mirrors were practically touching. My g/f was very impressed.

Yep, it's just you.:toothless
I can't say I've had that problem, but I also hate the fact that the G20 turning radius is larger than most competitors.

I have a P10 here, but I find the turning radius to suck pretty bad for the size of the car...

On the crooked parking, it really all does come down to practice!!! (Note that this means more driving time, though )

I have a problem parking beside a curb on the street .

When I'm in the car, it feels as though I'm close to the curb, so I park it thinking I'm close enough. But then when I get out of the car, I have a couple inchs of space from the curb and the car and the car is literally almost in the middle of the road .

I guess I'm not use to it ... since I've been driving a 93 Maxima for a long time.

yah, becareful when you enter autowashes with your stock wheels. you will scrape the rim that sticks out alittle bit. i know I did...a few times. the car feels like it's farther away from the rails than it actually is..until you feel the rail guide fix your alignment. oh, there's another scratch on your rim. hehehe. sucks

i got use to it though. no more rail hitting...but just in case, my tires have rim protection so there. hehehe.

Here are some facts.

2002 G20 2002 A4
-------------- ----------
Turning radiusm/ft)
11.4/37.4 11.1/36.4

Overall length: (in/mm)
177.5/4509 179.0/4547

Taken the above into consideration, I don't think the G20 radius is that bad at all! What I think, personally, I have problems with the G20 is that I find it is difficult to have a good estimate of the park distance for the front and back. Then again, I have been driving the car for the past 7 months.

Try driving and parking a Surburban. If you can handle one of those with ease, much like I can, you should have no problems parking....
