Automatic to Manual Conversion, Engine swap or Turbo ??
I currently have a 1994 Accord 4 door EX Model with 90,000 miles on it and is currently an automatic transmission. I am planning on either purchasing a bolt on Turbo kit, engine swap to a H22, or both of them combined. But I want my automatic to be converted to manual, how much is this going to cost and what effects will it have ?? Can anyone give their opinions on my car if the miles are too high and to get a new engine or that a turbo will be fine ??

I'm not positive...but ball park, just for the swap it would cost 600-800 for the manual transmission, but labor is a biatch...depending where u take it and how long it takes them to do it is gonna be how much the total is...im in the same boat as u...damn cars an auto and really want a manual bad but money and timewise i dunno if i got the patience for....

I went to the nearest Honda Dealership around me and got a price quote. $1400 in labor. for engine swap and transmission swap. because thats wha tim getting done to my car when i get the money. the h22 will do you so much better. also the manual transmission will do you so much better. automatics tend to top out in gears when they hit 50 - 60. which means your yellow lining/red lining the rest of the time. so manual would be a lot better. but the labor cost was for me providing all the things needed. it will cost more if they need to prove the parts

hey accord EX9191, does that 1400 only cover labor for the manual and h22 ?? What about for the H22 and and manual parts itself ??

That deals with the labor for both the manual transmission and the h22. im not sure what parts are needed for the engine. but im sure if you buy it off of redime or something they will supply all the parts needed for the engine. just maybe not the bolts adn all. but you basically can go to the nearest shop to get them. so it shouldnt be that expensive

in a 4th gen the h22 would drop right off, with no modifications to the mounts. i heard that in a 5th gen it will require a bit of modification to install the new tranny. www.jdm1.com offers a complete swap for $2300 (and if i'm not mistaken S&H is included).
