Saleen

yeah, i know, anotehr stupid bodykit thread.

seriously considering using the Saleen bodykit offered by California Mustang. the Saleen wing will go on the car no matter what... what do you guys think? would it look better with the body kit, or stock replacement bumpers with a front air dam (also from calstang)

thanks guys

Is it a Saleen kit or a Saleen look-a-like kit made by this company?

Re: Saleen

If it's fiberglass I would say no way.

the website says it's origional equipment on saleen of those years, so prolly reproduction. the whole kit for my year is about 700, not including the rear wing. i think it all looks damn good and would help set my car apart from everybody running stock bodies (and that's just about everybody in my area).

i'm also looking for a good fiberglass hood... at this point i'm leaning toward the stormin norman that Cervinis makes. best look i've seen so far, but i know i can do better. any ideas? i just wanna avoid the generic cowl hoods everybody uses to clear aftermarket intakes.

I would find out if it's fiberglass and if it is I would definetly nto use it for gfx.

As far as fiberglass hoods I use to like the stormin norman and mach1 until i saw them in person. Lot's and lot's more out there so look around.

Re: Saleen

Is there a link we can look at for this kit. I wouldn't get it if it was fiberglass.

http://store.cal-mustang.com/cm_able...TID=20&CM_SA=0

there's also separate items which are the individual parts (front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts) that say something about them being the origional parts for saleens back in the day.

I own a 2000 GT with a complete Saleen conversion. Everything from the Body Kit to the Heads, Gauges, suspension, supercharger, and the wheels. I personaly like the full body kit. I would probably go with that.
