The High cost of NOS LONG- not bad

Well currently I am installing my NOS system #5124 which I got from JcWhitney for $375 shipped. I ordered it two day shipping, but they took 4 so I got my shipping back. So far, things have been slow and tedious. My first problem, is that NOS forgot to include instructions with my kit, and even though I called them and faxed a copy of my invoice, they have yet to supply a copy of the instructions to me. How much can a few sheets of paper cost them? So a big :finger: for all the help Holley. Now, the kit comes with most of what you need...Notice I said most. I went out and bought a T-fitting, 1/8npt adapter, and 1/8-5/16 hose adapter today. These parts cost just a dollar or so apiece, but the cost all adds up. Also note that, one of these parts I have only been able to find at Kragen, while the others are at Pep Boys, so I have to drive around also. Good thing they are down the street from each other. I have also purchased some teflon paste which, strangely enough, is not available at auto parts stores, I found it at Home Depot. Today I also bought some spark plugs. I went to Pep Boys, who didn't have them, so I went to Kragen, since I was picking up the fittings anyway. I was recomended to buy NGK plugs which come stock on the NA 300zx, and which just happen to list at $17.99...a piece. That's a whole lotta $$$ for some spark plugs, and they had to be special ordered!!! Well, I found some cheaper performance plugs which I hope will work out, for $3.99 a piece, still some change. So far, I have the bottle mounted up, the fuel pressure safety switch installed, the wiring in place, the throttle switch on, and the hole drilled for the NOS solenoids. All thats left is mounting everything up, filling up the bottle, and praying for the best! I have also been wiring up my gauges and trying my best to make everything look good at the same time, so that has slowed me down a bit. Tomorrow and Tuesday I plan on finishing up the install, and a test run on Wednesday if everything goes as planned. I will post pics and comments when I'm all done.

Update

Okay, today I got a lot accomplished. All the wiring is finished. The spark plugs are changed. Everything is finished with 2 exceptions. I need to tap into my CAI for the NOS nozzle, and get the bottle filled. Then it's fun time! I only had to go to the store for one thing today, allen keys to take the forward spark plug cover off, I couldn't find mine! Oh well. I got all the other plumbing done and the solenoids are all mounted up. Tommorow morning I should be able to make a run hopefully, but I don't think it will be till tomorrow night. I am going in the afternoon to tear my VB apart and attempt to do the Transgo shift mod. Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it!
