Classic Mini Cooper Project

I am working on a mini cooper right now (pics coming soon) and i was wondering if anyone knows how to change the doors to lambo style if so let me know, also let me know of anything else cool to do to it.

Current Mods:

Candy Apple Red Paint
two tone interior
Twenty-two inch chrome wheels

Upcoming mods

lambo doors (hopefully!!!)
american flag roof
drag racing motor/cutout hood
and side pipes off old corvette model

I need more ideas!!!!!!!!

Re: Classic Mini Cooper Project

Ideas:

Chop Top
Fender Flares or Wide Body
SMALL spoiler off the deck lid.
Vented (not scooped) hood.
Frenched Headlights (never seen it done on a Mini)

Re: Re: Classic Mini Cooper Project

Are you serious about 22 inch wheels? You realize that 22s look massive even on something like a Lexus LS430. On a mini which comes with 16s? stock 22s will raise it up like a 4x4. Try some wheels from the 1:24 import racers. They're 18s if used on a 1:18 car and will look better than 22s.

Some more suggestions:

White stripes over the candy apple red (keeping with mini tradition but the candy keeps it fresh).
Camber.
Subtle hoodscoops like the bolt-ons you see on trucks.
Giant glass moonroof.

I think chopping the top would be sweet. If you do that though, lay the windshield back just a little bit. Oh and lay the body on the ground. Unless you're going for another look.

Hmm, sound's like it could come out pretty sick. Hope to see it finished soon.

i think 13's are actually the norm on a mini, i dont think even 16's would fit properly

if this thing has 22's fitted, there will be no cabin area left as the wheels will take up so much space...that is if the wheels dont protrude through the hood, lol.

Re: Classic Mini Cooper Project

MINI Cooper- 15 x 5.5
MINI Cooper S-16 x 6.5

so yes 20's would look massive on it and like simdel said, you would most likely have to do some cutting to get them to fit

if you get the Cooper S Works- with 16 inches, on hard tires- great for burnouts

yeah thats the new bmw mini (i think). i think sl500 is looking at the old classic mini. even so, even if he was using the new mini this proves how silly 22's would be.

Re: Classic Mini Cooper Project

u should paint it classic purple

u should keep the mini classic with the racing stripes

if you chop the top you should keep the roof white

u should make duel exausts on it (i havent seen it on a classic mini but a have seen it on a newer one)
