The fog light, hazard and defogger switches, (above the stereo), don't light up with the other lights. They work properly but do not illuminate with the other control panel lights at night time. Is there a bulb inside the buttons I can replace or is this caused by something else like a fuse? Thanks!

I wanted to know the same thing so I took them apart and found out they do! they are not hard to replace but when I tried to find bulbs i couldn't so what I ended up doing was going to radio shack and buying a set of mini lamps ($1.50 for 2) is what they are called then i put these into the place where the bulb goes in the switch. i would suggest taking the switch out before you buy the bulbs this post might make a little more sense. the bulbs are located on top of the switch they are little round things when turn it they will unlock and will come out if you turn it over. The Fresh air vent and the defogger are the same but the hazard is located inside the switch itself ( be careful taking it apart there are springs inside) On all of these you need to take off the cover of the bulb and put it on the new one then feed the new wires through and wrap them the same way. then put it all back together and it should work.
If this doesn't make sense just say so and I will try to post some pics tom. Hope it helps. Now all I need to figure out is how to get the window seitch in the center console to light up if anyone knows how to get into it or how to get it to work let me know please. |
