trouble codes
How do I get trouble codes out of a 96 SSE series2 It runs really rough threw warm up and want to check for codes. my brother just bought and we don't know much about thse cars yet.

you will need a special scanner tool called a OBDII scanner. You can purchase one yourself for around 150$ or you can go to your local Autozone and they can read the codes for you. there is no way to pull codes by hand on 96 or newer cars.

my check engine soon light comes on about 15 mins of driving. I took my bonne to 2 different AutoZones to see if they could read the codes for me but both of their devices showed "link error" ... anyone have any idea why this is happening?

They need the special connector cable for OBD I with the 16 pin Data Link Connector
