Question Considering an 04 SVT, BUT...

I have been thinking about financing an SVT when I get out of millitary training in about 6 months (Asuming I dont go to fight in iraq >Infantryman<) and I was wondering, were are all the performance parts for these cars?
Are they that much different from the 2 valve models that none of the parts are interchangable?

Also, in reality I am a car lover of all sorts and dont particularly like one manufacturer more than another, I am looking at the SVT because $35K is "Within Grasps" althoe it is still quite pricey.
Is there a better deal as far as performance for money goes?
Opinions?

~actually if you want to buy an SVT... going to IRAQ/AFGHAN would be a great experience for you. not only will it lower your interest rate to 6% in which the difference is forgiven, ie never paid, let you lower your full coverage to comprehensive while it sits and allow you to pay on a car without having to worry about running miles up and such... i dont know... going would be good for you. get to save money and pay LESS than you normally would for a high performance car? not to mention build your credit...

~i'll admit my lack of knowledge for modding an SVT but i've heard that its rather easy to get them to go into the 11-12 second range. some of the SVT guys will be able to tell you more.

~what branch?

"not only will it lower your interest rate to 6% in which the difference is forgiven, ie never paid"

Re: Considering an 04 SVT, BUT...

Just out of curiosity... Is there any reason I should pay $35,000+Interest for an 04 SVT When I can get the same 390 Ponies out of an NEW 03 SVT for only $25,000?
Is it just the new car trend thing? Or is there realy some kind of bennifit of having the brand new 04?

~thats only if you finance the car and then go overseas or active duty from ng/ar. i dont remember the law but it lowers all interest bearing debts to 6%. whether that is a house , car, credit card, whatever. if you want to know more then just let me know.

You need to shop around my friend, I got that flat out quote here in the silicon valley (San Francisco bay area) this is the most taxed place to live in the country.
I believe I got the quote from MAX something or other.
I can look for it again if you are interested in buying one.

As far as the other guy "Enjoy it if you get it" I am sure I will if I come back from werever the f*** alive... Also, a note that all service terms over seas are one year minimum (I believe) So if I buy the car its getting stored for a year in a storage facility while I pay it off... But it will give me something to fight to come home for, I still have to get through OSUT 14 Weeks before I can put a down payment on it.

Re: Considering an 04 SVT, BUT...

Does anyone know who makes a cold air intake and hi flow filter for the svt? And also, can I get some clarification on what years are sohc 16 valve and what years are dohc 32 valve?
The supercharged svt's 99+ are dohc 32 valve right?
TIA
