Radio looses station/date memory
How do I correct this problem? When the car is turned off all memory is lost!
Thanks for any help. Fred |

It sounds like your 12v constant power is not hooked up correctly. is your radio stock or aftermarket? if it is aftermarket it will probably be a red or yellow wire. if it is stock it is going to be more of a pain in the ass to fix.

Lot's of radios have their own back up battery or something, you might need to replace that.

The radio is stock I believe. It doesn't appear to have been apart-
all fasteners are still in place! Are they really dumb enough to put a backup battery that may itself fail? |

This happened to my cavalier... it was the relay on the alarm (door dinging sound) under/behind the glove compartment - also my dome light wasn't working either and it fixed that as well!!!
