01 GT exhaust and all that..
I have had 5 Mustangs so I am not a rookie as far as the great pony is all about. I however have never modded a mod stang. I have the chance to get a new set of Hooker Super Comp long tubes with an X mid pipe for $600 including coating. Are the hooker headers better than mac and such. I heard some of the less expensive tend to bang and hit on the bottom of the car. Any other mods that are seat of pants would be appreciated. Gears seem to be slighty high because of the computer reset to calibrate speedo. Is this the only way to set the gear combo up right? Thanks for the help!

Hear is my gripe against Hooker headers. They still use the flat style gasket collector unlike Ford's ball and socket exhuast set-up which is a much more reliable and leak free way to go.
Other quick bolt-ons worth thinking about on an Mod motor car is one of the power elbows like C&L and TFS make.

Which headers do you recommend for the mod motor car? Last time I did mods to a mustang was back in '93 when the choices weren't near as many as they are know.
