Re: XJ6 with 22" Wheels

Hey Swoxy... Is that XJ6 driveable, or is it just a show car?

Re: XJ6 with 22" Wheels

I reckon it's driveable, apart from the rims and paint it's pretty much stock and as long as the arches were rolled (which they must have been) I presume it can be used on the road. It still has number plates.

What's the offset on these wheels?, and also how wide are the tires?.. I'm thinking about putting 20s on my car, and i'm wondering what's the best offset to have a Deep Lip without any rubbing issue..

I have a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas.

Re: XJ6 with 22" Wheels

No idea. Talk to some wheel/tyre people. Looks to me like it'd rub but I really don't know. If you do put 20"s, post some pics. Good luck!

That particular Jaguar uses airbags for height adjustment...

Re: XJ6 with 22" Wheels

I've seen it in the flesh, plus it's had magazine coverage. It's based in the UK.
Plus compare the tyre to arch distance in the first pic to that in the second...

Smart guy. Which magazine was it in? And where did you see it?

Re: XJ6 with 22" Wheels

Well, I'm new here so I have to be polite...

It was in a couple of UK based Hot hatch mags...ie poor coverage and write up. Er, Max Power/Fast Car etc
NOT that I read these types of mags...
