Freshly cleaned engine bay - JDM B18C Rex *56k warning*

Hey everyone - It sure has been a while since i've been on here. I've been busy with college, and I'm always reading the EF board on HT. I finally cleaned the engine bay of my car, and did a mini photo shoot. lemme know what you think of the car, engine bay and/or photographic skills lol. sorry to anyone who saw this at HT...but hey at least these pics are bigger and more detailed

sunset pic....how predictable hehe

damn drivers side foglight bein all yellow

this thing had never been cleaned after 2 engine swaps lol

The Money Shot

Y1 4.266 f/d can suck my ass hehe

And here's my roomate Ryan's 95 Talon TSi FWD. We just got done putting a new trans and clutch w/ lightened flywheel in it. He cleaned most of my engine bay for me....he kinda owed me for the work that i did on his car. FYI DSMs suck DICK to work on

Yes he's well aware that his car needs to be dropped and needs rims. Mid april come the TEIN SS and 18" Tenzo R Apex 5s.

well there ya go.....hopefully all the pics work.

Very sweet, as always!

BTW... what's so difficult about working on the DSM's? I only ask because my girl wants one, and I want to know what I'd be getting myself into.

thanks man When doing the clutch i just ran into a whole bunch of very "un-mechanic friendly" things that the mitsubishi/chrysler designers did. The retarded ass center crossmember being one. Also the lower ball joint setup being another. I also found it retarded that they use 14mm bolts for trans bolts and the front and rear "roll stoppers". Also, would it kill mitsubishi to have a welded on nut and a bolt for motor/trans mounts??? fucken annoying having a separate nut and bolt for each.....besides the side motor mount...which you cant even see the hole that you're threading it into unless you wedge your head up into the wheel well lol

thanx mang Dont like the place mounts, eh? I like them because they position the motor in pretty much true SiR position, and allow for maximium ground clearance. Poly mounts do transfer an assload of engine vibration into the interior of EDs tho ahh well, well worth the trade of imho. Anyone notice how much i had to cut the bottom of the hood to get the b18c to clear lol I dont have any track times yet. This motor was off an Automatic Integra Si VTEC. Hence, it has shitty cams, and possibly shitty valve springs as well. I refuse to run it with these, as i know i'll be disappointed. I'll be getting Comp 57200 stage II cams this summer (they threw down 19whp on an internally stock 10.0:1 compression USDM B18C1). I have 10.6:1 compression, a skunk2 intake manifold, skunk2 cam gears, and a chipped ecu & exhaust...so i expect even better gains. Once i get those in & dyno tuned...and get some avs es100s for the front...then i'll go to the tack and hit some 13s (hopefully lol)
