2000 GT exhaust ??

OK, i have a friend with a 2000 GT. I love his car. Anyway, lets get to the point. He plans to get a new exhaust in the near future. He wants to know which system is the best for a deep rumble tone. Also which system is best for power. I have suggested borla and SLP loudmouth. But i am no expert, so thats why i came here. Thanks, Phil

I had recently done a lot of research on catback systems for my stang and decided to order the SLP system. I heard a lot of people saying how good of a product this is. They say the quality is top notch and the sound is incredible. I found a dyno on the SLP system that showed +5 peak hp and +20 ftlbs tq in one range on a project car for stang pro (dyno graph saved in my file, don't know how to upload). I know this doesn't mean that my car will have these gains, but considering that the project car is a bullitt and my car is a bullitt with similar mods, I am hopefull.

The Borla system was not an option for me, because I don't like the sound personally, but have also heard great things about it. I don't think you could go wrong with a borla system on any vehicle. They make a great product and have a great warranty (Just a little pricey for me)!

Re: 99 GT exhaust ??

I say borla I love the sound myself. It can get pricy but the fit finish gains and warr all make it worth while to me.

PS 5.4 to upload use your gallery on AF.

SLP belongs on nothing but the Chevy's they have been inbreeding with for the last 15 years.

Re: 99 GT exhaust ??

Exhaust systems that I dont like:
Bassani, BBK, Magnaflow, SLP...

They have too raspy of a note for me. Theres some exceptions cause Ive heard some that are pretty good but the majority of them... I just hate it. Sounds like a throatier LS1.
