Question Poor milage and a miss at full throttle after head/intake gaskets job.

My 1997 5.7 suburban got 17-18 MPG before I had head gaskets and intake gaskets put on it. Now it gets 13 MPG around town or down the interstate. I have check 4 tanks and the milage has not improved. Is it possible that the garage did not get the distrubutor on correctly and it is causing a problem? It has plenty of power but has a miss under full throttle.

I'd take it back to the shop and have them recheck the timing, plug wire routing, and mack sure they didn't tear a plug wire.Try pulling you sub.in the garage, with the garage door cracked just a bit(fumes)turn out all the lights and see if you see any spark under the hood.hope this helps and hope you get the problem resolved.
