clearing codes
1997 Town & Country. I have intermittent communication with the car. I have used several scan tools. I ohmed the wires from dlc to ecm. I took pins out of dlc and adjusted them to make better contact (some seemed to be spread a little). I can communicate with car if it has been sitting for awhile. The session may last seconds or minutes but once communication is lost it usually will not reestablish.

You need an OBD II scanner to clear the codes on these vehicles. Disconnecting the battery, jumping the ALDL connector will not clear codes.
Good Luck.

PCV
That is why I have used several scan tools. The scan tool talks to the PCM. My problem is the scan tools can not talk to the PCM. There is a problem in the car. I changed the PCM with same results. A non dodge dealer mechanic told me a sensor going bad can shut the PCM communication down. I am not getting error code and can not talk to PCM. Surely some one has something say. |
