positive door trigger

Im almost finished installing my alarm but i have one more thing to do to make it complete.

In my alarm you need a positive and a negative door trigger. I have the negative door trigger hooked up to the green/red wire on the door. (part where when open turns on dome light, little switch thingy in door jamb.) And i need a positive door trigger and i dont know where to hook it to?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced!!!

I don't think you do.
From what i know it's usually either one .The alarm provides both because there are cars that use positive door trigger (like ford, lincoln and mercury) and others like hondas use negative door trigger. Since your car (i guess) is a honda just leave off the positive , you don't need that (that's what i did when install the alarm on my crx and a friend's accord), the only think you need to hook up is the negative door trigger which you already did.

If you really need both (which i doubt), you can always use a relay.

Hope this help

Yes Like He Said, You Only Need To Use The Negative Trigger Wire. The Positive Is For Vehicles With Positive Door Triggers. You Don't Need It.

Re: positive door trigger

Yeah, i did that too. All you gotta do is to connect the keyless entry output for locking and unlocking to the factory lock and unlock wire of your car. What car is for ?

Re: positive door trigger

Yep that's all you gotta do.

this should be the wiring for your car:

Door Lock Green/White (-)In Driver's Door at Door Lock Module]
Door Unlock Green/Red (-)

so what you gotta now is:
alarm ouput lock --->> Door lock (Green/White)
alarm ouput unlock---->>Door unlock (Green/Red)

Trust me, it's not that difficult. Just gotta make sure that each wire do its function. Also think about having a multimeter, it's helps a lot !!!

Hope this help again.
